Logan Canyon is a beautiful canyon in northeastern Utah, in the western United States. It cuts through the Bear River Mountains, which are part of the larger Wasatch Range.

This canyon is a super popular spot for outdoor fun all year round! You can go rock climbing, hiking, camping, and fishing. In winter, people love snowmobiling and skiing at the Beaver Mountain ski resort.

Logan Canyon climbs high, reaching about 7,800 feet (2,377 meters) above sea level. After a big climb, you'll find amazing views of the deep blue Bear Lake. The canyon starts near Logan in Cache County and ends near Garden City in Rich County.

Exploring the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway

The main road through Logan Canyon is U.S. Route 89. This road is so special that it's been named a National Scenic Byway! It connects the Cache and Bear Lake areas.

Over the years, there have been some updates to the highway. Old bridges were fixed, and parts of the road were made straighter. The Bear Lake Overlook, a spot where you can stop and enjoy the view, was also made bigger and better. Because the canyon road has many turns and changes in height, drivers need to be extra careful, especially when it snows.
