Malawi is a country in southeastern Africa. It has sent its athletes to compete in the Summer Olympic Games twelve times. However, Malawi has never taken part in the Winter Olympic Games.

Malawi's first time at the Olympics was in 1972, at the Munich Games. The country did not compete in the 1976 Games in Montreal because no athletes had qualified to participate. Malawi also chose not to compete in the 1980 Summer Olympics. They returned to the Games in 1984.

Malawi has never won an Olympic medal.
