Movie Storylines: Holiday Adventures
The movie begins with a narrator. He talks about new stories of giving and loving. A special book opens up, showing pop-up elves. This starts the five different Christmas tales.
Belles on Ice: Skating Fun
The first story is about Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck. They are competing in an exciting ice skating show. Their boyfriends, Mickey and Donald, join them. Daisy starts to feel jealous of Minnie. She tries to get all the attention for herself.
Minnie then performs some amazing stunts to get the spotlight back. Daisy calls on the Fantasia Hippos to skate with her. Minnie brings out the alligators from the 1940 film. Soon, Minnie and Daisy start arguing and pushing each other. Mickey and Donald watch, very worried.
Minnie accidentally slips on a small handbell. Daisy quickly helps her up. They both feel sorry for their actions. In the end, they work together. They perform a grand finale that everyone loves.
Christmas: Impossible Mission
The second story is about Huey, Dewey, and Louie. They are celebrating Christmas Eve with Donald and Daisy Duck. They are at Uncle Scrooge's big mansion. The boys cause a lot of trouble during dinner. They know they are definitely on Santa's naughty list.
So, they decide to travel to the North Pole. Their goal is to write their names on Santa's good list. At Santa's workshop, they make even more mess. But then, they and the elves work together. They clean everything up to save Christmas.
Before leaving, they get a chance to add their names to the good list. But they add Uncle Scrooge's name instead. They remember he was never on the list either. On Christmas Day, Santa leaves them a note. It says their good actions put them on the good list too!
Christmas Maximus: Goofy Family Time
The third story focuses on Max Goof and his dad, Goofy. They are celebrating the holidays. Max, who is now a young adult, brings his girlfriend Mona home. He wants her to meet his dad. But Max is a bit worried about them meeting.
Max feels embarrassed by his dad at first. Goofy shows Mona baby pictures of Max. He even wipes cocoa off Max's face. Max goes outside, feeling a bit down. He notices his scarf was made by Goofy. He then realizes that Goofy is always goofy, and that's why he loves him.
Max forgets about being embarrassed. He decides to join the fun. A popcorn machine goes crazy! Max tries to stop it, but popcorn fills his clothes. He flies across the room, feeling silly. Goofy tries to stop it next. He gets swung around in the air. Finally, Max, Goofy, and Mona are all pushed up the chimney by the popcorn. They land on the roof! Mona then shows she has the same kind of teeth as Goofy and Max. They all laugh and make snow angels on the roof.
Donald's Gift: Finding Christmas Spirit
The fourth story is about Donald Duck. He wishes for peace and quiet for Christmas. Daisy Duck and Huey, Dewey, and Louie also appear. Donald is walking home from grocery shopping. He daydreams and misses his bus. He runs to catch it. But many happy people slow him down. They start singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
Donald gets more and more annoyed by the joyful people. At home, he hears the same Christmas songs on his radio. When Daisy and his nephews arrive, Donald is annoyed. They want to go out again so soon. But Daisy pulls him along to the mall.
At the mall, Donald finds a secret room. He thinks he's finally in peace. But he finds animatronic figures singing the same carol. Donald immediately starts wrecking them. Then he realizes he's destroying the show at Mousy's. Daisy, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and a crowd were all trying to watch it. Dewey tricks Donald by saying he's not their uncle anymore. Daisy agrees to leave with the boys.
A mall guard throws Donald out for his lack of Christmas spirit. Donald walks home alone. He feels guilty for what he did. He sees Christmas carolers having trouble singing. Donald helps them learn to sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" better. When Daisy, Huey, Dewey, and Louie arrive, Donald apologizes. Everyone joins together around a big Christmas tree. They happily sing the song.
Mickey's Dog-Gone Christmas: Pluto's Journey
The fifth and final story stars Mickey Mouse. He is making decorations for a Christmas party. Pluto keeps getting in the way. Pluto tries to help by putting the star on the tree. But he accidentally destroys all the decorations. He even knocks down the Christmas tree. Mickey gets very frustrated and yells at Pluto. He sends Pluto to his doghouse as punishment.
Pluto feels rejected by Mickey. He decides to run away from home. He ends up being shipped to the North Pole. There, Santa's reindeer adopt him. They even rename him "Murray." Back home, Mickey redecorates the house. He feels bad about losing his temper. He tries to find Pluto to apologize. But Pluto is gone.
Mickey puts up "lost dog" posters. He eventually talks to a department store Santa. It turns out to be the real Santa! Meanwhile, Pluto misses home. Santa and the reindeer help Pluto return. Mickey's friends arrive for the party. Pluto finishes decorating the Christmas tree. Everyone celebrates Pluto's return. Donald, Daisy, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Uncle Scrooge, Max, Goofy, and Minnie Mouse are all there. The movie ends with everyone singing Christmas carols.
