The Museum of Fine Arts of Seville (which in Spanish is called Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla) is a famous art museum in Seville, Spain. It holds a large collection of Spanish art. Most of the artworks are paintings and sculptures from the Middle Ages up to the early 1900s.
The museum is especially known for its amazing collection of art from the 17th century. This period is often called the "Golden Age" of Sevillian painting. You can see important works by famous artists like Murillo, Zurbarán, Francisco de Herrera the younger, and Valdés Leal.
The building where the museum is located has a long history. It was first built in 1594. Before it became a museum, it was a convent for a religious group called the Order of the Merced Calzada de la Asunción. This convent was started by St. Peter Nolasco during the time of King Ferdinand III. The building was greatly changed and improved in the early 1600s by an architect named Juan de Oviedo y de la Bandera. The museum itself was officially created in September 1835, and artworks were moved into the building over the next few years.
