Nonso Anozie (born 17 November 1978) is a talented British actor. He is famous for his roles in many TV shows and movies. You might know him from the Netflix series Sweet Tooth, where he played Tommy Jepperd. For this role, he won a special award called a Children's and Family Emmy Award.

He has also appeared in popular TV series like Game of Thrones, Dracula, and Zoo. In movies, he has starred in Cass, The Grey, Ender's Game, and Cinderella.

Early Life and Training

Nonso Anozie was born in North London on November 17, 1978. His parents were from Nigeria. He went to St Aloysius College, Highgate for school.

After high school, he studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. He finished his studies in 2002. That same year, he played the main character in William Shakespeare's play King Lear. In 2004, he won the Ian Charleson Award for his amazing performance in another play called Othello.

Early Roles and Voice Work

In 2006, Nonso was chosen to be the voice of Iorek Byrnison, an armored bear, in the movie The Golden Compass. However, just before the movie came out, another actor, Ian McKellen, took over the voice role. The director, Chris Weitz, said it was a difficult decision. He praised Nonso, calling him "one of the most promising and soulful young actors" he had met.

Nonso also played smaller parts in films like RocknRolla and Atonement.

In 2008, Nonso played the main character in Cass. This British crime drama told the real-life story of Cass Pennant. He also appeared in the TV series Occupation, playing a US Marine.

In 2011, he was in the movie Conan the Barbarian. That same year, he joined the cast of the popular HBO series Game of Thrones as Xaro Xhoan Daxos. He also played Jackson Burke in the film The Grey.

From 2015 to 2017, Nonso was a main character, Abraham Kenyatta, in the CBS drama Zoo. In 2019, he played the bad guy, Red, in the Amazon Prime Video movie Guava Island.

One of his most well-known roles recently is Tommy Jepperd in the Netflix series Sweet Tooth, which ran from 2021 to 2024. He also had a role in the popular show Ted Lasso.
