Oberallgäu is a rural district in Swabia in southwest Bavaria, Germany. Neighbor districts are: Unterallgäu, Ostallgäu, and Lindau (district) and in Baden-Württemberg: Ravensburg (district); The district-free city of Kempten, in the middle of the district, is not part of the it. In the south of the district are the Austrian states Tyrol and Vorarlberg. Sonthofen is the capital of the Oberallgäu.
