Paul Rodriguez (born January 19, 1955) is a famous Mexican-American actor and stand-up comedian. He is known for his funny jokes and for acting in many movies and TV shows.

Early Life and Military Service
Paul Rodriguez was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. His family were ranchers. They moved to Compton, California, when he was young. Later, Rodriguez joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed in places like Iceland and Duluth, Minnesota. While in the Air Force, he won a talent competition called "Tops in Blue."

Paul Rodriguez has had a long career in comedy, television, and movies. He started performing stand-up comedy in 1981.
Television Shows and Hosting
Rodriguez first appeared in a TV show called a.k.a. Pablo in 1984. It was a sitcom, but it only lasted for six episodes. In 1988, he was a regular on another sitcom, Trial and Error. This show also ended quickly.
Later that year, he became the host of The Newlywed Game. The show was even renamed The Newlywed Game Starring Paul Rodriguez during his time as host. He also hosted El Show de Paul Rodriguez on Univision from 1990 to 1993. From 2010 to 2011, Rodriguez hosted Mis Videos Locos. This show on MTV Tr3́s featured funny home videos of Latino people.

Paul Rodriguez has acted in many feature films. Some of his well-known movies include Blood Work with Clint Eastwood, D.C. Cab, Born in East L.A., Tortilla Soup, Rat Race, and Ali.
He has also lent his voice to animated characters. You might recognize his voice from King of the Hill, Dora the Explorer, and Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Rodriguez also directed and starred in the movie A Million to Juan. He produced and appeared in the comedy film The Original Latin Kings of Comedy in 2002.

Paul Rodriguez's son is also famous. His son, Paul Rodriguez, is a professional skateboarder. He is also known as "P-Rod."
