Queralt Castellet Ibáñez was born on June 17, 1989. She is a talented snowboarder from Spain. Queralt won a silver medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. This was in the women's Halfpipe event. She was the first Spanish woman in 30 years to win an Olympic medal at the Winter Games! She also won a silver medal at the 2015 World Championships.

Queralt Castellet's Snowboarding Journey
Early Life and Starting Snowboarding
Queralt Castellet was born in Sabadell, Spain. Even though she lived in a city, her parents loved camping. They took her to the mountains every weekend. Queralt started snowboarding when she was just 6 years old. Her parents had discovered the sport four years before.
She also did gymnastics for a while. However, she had to stop at age 16. This was because she hurt her wrist while snowboarding. After that, she moved to the Pyrenees mountains. This allowed her to snowboard much more often.
Teenage Competitions and Early Success
As a teenager, Queralt competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics. She also placed tenth in the Halfpipe event at the 2007 World Snowboard Championships.
During the 2007–08 Snowboarding World Cup, she did very well. She finished on the podium three times. Overall, she placed third in the halfpipe section of that World Cup season.
Olympic Challenges and Triumphs
At the 2010 Winter Olympics, Queralt had a strong start. She scored high in her first qualifying run. However, she had to withdraw from the final. This was due to an injury she got while practicing.
Queralt has competed in five Olympic Games. Her hard work paid off at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. She won a silver medal in the women's Halfpipe event. This was a huge achievement for her and for Spain!
World Cup Achievements
Queralt has had many successes in the World Cup series. She has won seven victories in the Halfpipe event. She also has ten other podium finishes in halfpipe. Additionally, she has one podium finish in Big Air, another exciting snowboarding event.
