The Resch Center is a large building in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where many exciting events happen. It's a multi-purpose arena that opened in 2002. It can hold up to 10,200 people for different shows and games.

This arena is the home for several sports teams. You can watch the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team play here. It's also where the Green Bay Gamblers ice hockey team and the Green Bay Blizzard indoor football team compete.

The Resch Center also hosts big high school sports tournaments. Every year, the best high school girls' volleyball and girls' basketball teams come here to play for state championships.

The arena got its name from Dick Resch. His company, KI Industries, helped fund the building. The Resch Center is located right next to the old Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena. It's also across the street from Lambeau Field, which is famous for being the home of the Green Bay Packers football team.

In 2006, the arena hosted the NCAA men's hockey tournament's Midwest Regional. A very memorable game happened here. The Wisconsin Badgers beat Cornell 1-0 in three overtime periods! This was one of the longest 1-0 games in NCAA Tournament history. This win sent the Badgers to the "Frozen Four," which is like the semi-finals for college hockey.

The NCAA Division I Hockey Midwest Regional returned to the Resch Center in 2011.

Indoor Football Action

The Resch Center is a great place to watch indoor football.

  • It is the home field for the Green Bay Blizzard team, which plays in the Indoor Football League.
  • It was also the home of the Green Bay Chill, a women's indoor tackle football team, from 2011 to 2013.

Resch Center Theatre

The Resch Center can change its size for different events.

The Resch Center Theatre is a special setup within the main arena. It uses a clever curtain system to make the space smaller. This makes it perfect for shows that need a more cozy feeling, like theater-style concerts or Broadway plays. It can hold between 3,000 and 5,500 people in this special setup.
