Robert Michael Schneider (born October 31, 1963) is an American actor and comedian. He is well-known for his stand-up comedy and his time on the TV show Saturday Night Live.
After leaving Saturday Night Live, Rob Schneider starred in many comedy movies. These include Deuce Bigalow: Male ... (1999), The Animal (2001), and The Benchwarmers (2006). He is also the father of singer Elle King.

Early Life
Rob Schneider was born in San Francisco, California. He grew up in Pacifica, a nearby town. His mom, Pilar, was a kindergarten teacher. His dad, Marvin, was a real estate broker.
Rob's father was Jewish, and his mother was Catholic. His grandma on his mother's side was from the Philippines. This mixed background often appears in his comedy. His older brother, John, is a producer. Rob finished high school in 1982 and then went to San Francisco State University.

Starting Out in Comedy
Rob Schneider began doing stand-up comedy while he was still in high school. He performed at clubs in the Bay Area, like the Holy City Zoo. He was also a guest on local radio shows.
In 1987, he opened a show for comedian Dennis Miller. This led to Rob appearing on an HBO comedy special. After this, he became a writer for the TV show Saturday Night Live.

Rob Schneider joined Saturday Night Live (SNL) as a writer in 1988. From 1990 to 1994, he was a main cast member. He played funny characters like "Tiny Elvis." He was also known for "Richard Laymer," the office worker who always said "Makin' Copies!"
Rob was featured in a video called The Bad Boys of Saturday Night Live. He was in it with other famous SNL comedians like Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Chris Farley.

After SNL, Rob Schneider acted in many movies. These included Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Judge Dredd, and Demolition Man. He also had a part on the TV show Coach.
In 1999, he starred in the movie Deuce Bigalow: Male .... He then starred in The Animal, where his character gets animal powers. He also made a sequel, Deuce Bigalow: European .... This movie was not very popular, and Rob won a "Worst Actor" award for it.
In 2006, Rob was in the family comedy The Benchwarmers with David Spade and Jon Heder. He also appeared with Jim Henson's Muppets in Muppets from Space.

On April 23, 2011, Rob married television producer Patricia Azarcoya Arce. They have two daughters, Miranda Scarlett (born 2012) and Madeline Robbie (born 2016). The family supports the Mexican soccer team Tigres.
