The Sleeping Beauty story is a popular Disney media franchise. It all started in 1959 with the movie Sleeping Beauty. This franchise is based on the classic fairy tale by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. It includes several films, TV shows, video games, and even theme park attractions.

Sleeping Beauty (1959)
Sleeping Beauty is an animated musical fantasy film from 1959. It was made by Walt Disney. The movie tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed by the evil fairy Maleficent.
Maleficent (2014)
Maleficent is a live-action movie released in 2014. It is a spin-off from the 1959 animated film. This movie focuses on the story from the point of view of the villain, Maleficent.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019)
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is the sequel to the 2014 film Maleficent. It continues the story of Maleficent and Princess Aurora. This movie came out on October 18, 2019.

Keys to the Kingdom (2007)
"Keys to the Kingdom" is a short story from the movie Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams. It shows Princess Aurora ruling her kingdom while her parents are away. One of the good fairies, Merryweather, gives Aurora her magic wand. She warns Aurora to be very careful with it.
Descendants (2015)
Descendants is a live-action Disney Channel Original Movie. It is about the children of famous Disney heroes and villains. They all go to the same school. The movie mainly follows Mal, who is the daughter of Maleficent. Audrey, the daughter of Aurora and Prince Phillip, also appears. Queen Leah, Aurora's mother, has a small role too.
Descendants 2 (2017)
Descendants 2 is the sequel to the first Descendants movie from 2015. It again focuses on Mal. However, Maleficent herself is not in this film. Aurora, Prince Phillip, and their daughter Audrey do not appear in this movie either.
Descendants 3 (2019)
The third movie in the Descendants series was released in mid-2019. It features both Mal and Audrey. Mal is Maleficent's daughter, and Audrey is Aurora's daughter.
TV Shows
Disney's House of Mouse (2001–2003)
The animated TV show Disney's House of Mouse featured many Disney characters. Characters from Sleeping Beauty often made small appearances. They also showed up in the direct-to-video movies based on the show. These include Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse and Mickey's House of Villains.
Sofia the First (2012–2018)
The three good fairies, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, are important characters in the TV show Sofia the First. They work as the headmistresses at Royal Prep, a school for young royals. Princess Aurora also appeared in an episode called "Holiday in Enchancia." This show often features characters from the Disney Princess group.

Sleeping Beauty Castle
Sleeping Beauty Castle is a famous fairy tale castle. You can find it at the center of Disneyland in California and Disneyland Park in Paris. It used to be at Hong Kong Disneyland too. The castle's design was inspired by the real Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany.
Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant
Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant means "The Castle of the Sleeping Beauty" in English. It is the fairy tale castle at the heart of Disneyland Paris. It is like a continuation of the Sleeping Beauty Castle found in other Disney parks.

Kingdom Hearts Series (2002–Present)
Maleficent is a major villain in the Kingdom Hearts video game series. She appears in most of the games. Aurora first shows up in the game Kingdom Hearts. She is one of the Seven Princesses of Heart. Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, along with Maleficent's raven, appear in Kingdom Hearts II. The game Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep includes a world based on the movie, called Enchanted Dominion. In this world, you can find Prince Phillip and Maleficent's helpers for the first time in the games.
Disney Princess: Magical Jewels (2007)
Aurora is a character you can play as in the game Disney Princess: Magical Jewels.
Disney Infinity (2014–2016)
The live-action version of Maleficent from the 2014 movie is a playable character in the Disney Infinity video game series. She first appeared in Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2015). You could also buy a toy figure of Maleficent to use in the game.
