Soledad "La Sole" Pastorutti (born October 12, 1980) is a famous Argentine folk singer. She helped bring folk music to younger people in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Soledad is also an actress in movies and TV shows. She is the older sister of another Argentine singer, Natalia Pastorutti.

Her first album, Poncho al Viento, became Sony Music's best-selling album ever in Argentina. This was a huge achievement for a new artist!

Soledad's Music Journey

Early Career and First Albums

In 1995, when Soledad was just 15 years old, a famous musician named César Isella helped her. He invited her to perform at the Cosquín folklore festival. Her performance with her sister Natalia was so good that she got a contract with Sony Music Argentina.

That same year, she recorded her first album, Poncho al Viento. After singing in over 181 towns and cities in Argentina, Soledad became very popular across the country. By the time her second album came out, her first album was a massive hit. People called her 'Huracan de Arequito' (Arequito's Hurricane) because of her incredible success.

In 1997, she released her second album, La Sole. She performed many concerts for this album, including 10 shows at the Teatro Gran Rex in Buenos Aires. Both of her albums reached No. 1 on the music charts many times that year.

Growing Success and New Experiences

Soledad's success continued to grow in 1998. She performed more concerts at the Teatro Gran Rex. She also joined the Argentina national football team for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. In Madrid, Spain, she received a special award from Sony International. This award was for selling one million copies of her first two albums.

When she returned, Sony Music Argentina recognized her as their top-selling artist across all music styles. She then released her third album, A mi gente. This album was recorded live during her concerts. For the first time, folk music was played a lot on radios and in discos.

In 1999, Soledad starred in a movie called Edad del Sol ("Age of the Sun"). She also recorded her fourth album, Yo sí Quiero a mi país ("I Love My Country"). This album was made in studios in Miami. It was produced by Emilio Estefan, a famous Cuban musician. This album helped her reach new fans in countries like Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Mexico, the United States, and Spain. She went on tour in these countries.

The movie Edad del Sol was a big production for Argentine cinema. However, it was not as successful as expected. Another animated film, Manuelita, became much more popular at the box office.

International Recognition and TV Appearances

In 2000, Soledad returned to Buenos Aires for three concerts at the famous Luna Park. In August, she performed at the Martigues Folklore Festival in France. She received great reviews there. Back in Argentina, she started recording her fifth album, which came out in October. Before that, she performed at the Barbican Centre in London. This was part of a festival celebrating Argentine cinema and music.

Soledad also took part in the 2000 Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile. This is one of the most important music festivals in Latin America. She won the Audience Prize there.

Her sixth album was recorded in 2001. It had a fresh new style. She performed more concerts at the Gran Rex. She also received the "Silver Torch" award at the Viña del Mar Festival again. Soledad started acting on TV in the soap opera Rincón de Luz in 2003.

Soledad has also been a vocal coach for the Argentine version of The Voice. She was also a judge on the singing competition show Rising Star. Since 2008, she has hosted a popular music TV show called Ecos de mi tierra ("Echoes of My Land").
