This article is about the Speakers of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The Grand National Assembly is like the parliament of Turkey. It is where elected representatives meet to make laws for the country.
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey was first created on April 23, 1920. Its name, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi, has mostly stayed the same. For a short time between 1960 and 1980, there was also a Senate alongside the National Assembly.
The Speaker is a very important person in the parliament. They lead the meetings, make sure everyone follows the rules, and represent the parliament. Think of them as the referee and leader of the big discussions where laws are made.

Temporary Speakers of the Parliament
When the Grand National Assembly starts a new session, the oldest member of parliament acts as the temporary Speaker. They do this until a new Speaker is officially chosen. This ensures that the parliament always has someone leading its first meetings.
