Todd Joseph Miller (born June 4, 1981) is an American comedian, actor, producer, and writer. He is known for playing Erlich Bachman in the TV show Silicon Valley. He also played the character Weasel in the superhero movies Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).
Miller has been in many comedy films like Yogi Bear (2010) and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012). He also appeared in action movies such as Unstoppable (2010) and Ready Player One (2018). You might also recognize his voice from the How to Train Your Dragon films (2010–2014) and the TV series DreamWorks Dragons (2012–2018). He also voiced characters in Big Hero 6 (2014) and The Emoji Movie (2017).

Early Life and School
Miller was born in Denver, Colorado. His mother, Leslie Miller, is a psychologist, and his father, Kent Miller, is a lawyer. He went to Graland Country Day School and then East High School in Denver. At East High, he took part in many drama productions.
In 2003, Miller graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. He earned a degree in psychology. While in college, he was part of a comedy group called receSs. He also studied circus arts in Paris and Shakespeare in London.
Career Highlights
Stand-up Comedy
After college, Miller moved to Chicago. There, he started performing improvisation and stand-up comedy. He worked with many local comedy groups. He also toured with The Second City for two years. In 2008, Variety magazine named him one of their "10 Comics to Watch."
In 2011, Miller released a comedy special called No Real Reason. The next year, he released a comedy album titled Mash Up Audiofile. In 2015, he joined the Funny or Die's Oddball Comedy Festival. This was a touring show with other famous comedians like Amy Schumer and Aziz Ansari.
In 2017, HBO aired his hour-long stand-up special, T.J. Miller: Meticulously Ridiculous. This show was filmed in his hometown of Denver.
Television Roles
Miller often appeared on the TV show Chelsea Lately. He was also in Carpoolers on ABC from 2007 to 2008. In 2012, he voiced Robbie Valentino in the Disney cartoon Gravity Falls. He performed stand-up comedy on the show Conan several times.
He starred as Jimmy Goodwin in the Fox TV series The Goodwin Games. Miller also played Erlich Bachman in the HBO sitcom Silicon Valley. This role earned him the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2015. In 2017, it was announced that he would not return for the show's fifth season.
Miller has also done voice work for commercials. He voiced a talking ball of mucus for Mucinex. He also played Greg the Genie in ads for Slim Jim meat snacks. He voiced Gorburger, a giant blue monster talk show host, on The Gorburger Show. This show started online and later aired on Comedy Central.
Film Appearances
Miller's first movie was Cloverfield (2008). He was seen for only a few minutes, but his voice was heard throughout the film. In 2009, he played Cessna Jim in The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. He also played Rory in Mike Judge's comedy Extract. In 2010, he was in She's Out of My League and Get Him to the Greek. He also had a supporting role in the action film Unstoppable.
He voiced Tuffnut Thorston in the animated films How to Train Your Dragon and How to Train Your Dragon 2. He also played Dan in Gulliver's Travels (2010).
Miller played Ranger Jones in the live-action/animated movie Yogi Bear (2010). In 2011, he appeared in Our Idiot Brother. He had a small role in the 2012 film Rock of Ages. He also starred in Search Party (2016) with Adam Pally.
In 2014, he was in Transformers: Age of Extinction. He also voiced Fred in the superhero film Big Hero 6. He played Weasel in Deadpool and Deadpool 2. In 2017, he voiced Gene, a main character in The Emoji Movie. In 2018, he appeared as i-R0k in the film Ready Player One, directed by Steven Spielberg.
Audio Work
In 2011, Miller released a comedy rap album called The Extended Play E.P.. It featured other comedians like Bo Burnham and Doug Benson. In 2012, he released a remix tape of that album. He also released Mash Up Audiofile on Comedy Central Records.
Miller started appearing on the Red Bar Radio podcast in 2006. He also hosts a podcast with his friend and comedian Cash Levy, called Cashing in with TJ Miller. He is a frequent guest on Doug Benson's podcast Doug Loves Movies.
Personal Life
In 2014, Miller got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kate Gorney. She is an actress and artist. They were married on September 6, 2015, in Denver.
In 2010, while filming Yogi Bear in New Zealand, Miller learned he had a brain condition. He had surgery, which was successful.
