In 2002, a company called Telstra became a sponsor, so it was renamed Telstra Stadium. Then, on January 1, 2008, it changed its name again to ANZ Stadium because of a new sponsorship deal.
Sometimes, people used to get "Stadium Australia" mixed up with another stadium called the Sydney Football Stadium. That stadium was once known as Aussie Stadium.
