Toasted TV was a super popular Australian TV show made just for kids! It took over from another show called Cheez TV. This show was on Network 10 and then later on 10 Peach (which used to be called Eleven).

Toasted TV started on August 22, 2005, and its last episode aired on September 18, 2020. It was a big part of many kids' mornings for 15 years!

The show first aired on Network 10. Then, on February 25, 2012, it moved to 10 Peach. The first hosts were Pip Russell and Dan Sweetman. The very last hosts were Ollie McCormack and Lia Walsh.

On July 13, 2020, Network 10 announced that Toasted TV would be ending. The show stopped making new episodes in August, and the final episode was in September 2020.

What Was Toasted TV About?

Toasted TV was made for kids aged 7 to 14. The show featured hosts who would do fun activities and introduce popular cartoons and anime. Some of the cartoons shown included Pokémon, Avatar: The Last Airbender, SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Penguins of Madagascar.

The show started on August 22, 2005, after Cheez TV finished. For a while, it was filmed at fun places like Warner Bros. Movie World and Sea World. Later, it moved to Dreamworld in 2011. Since July 2, 2012, the show was filmed in a studio.

Regular Segments

  • Letter of the Week: Kids would send in letters, and the hosts would read them on air. Prizes were given out for the best letters!
  • Facebook Watch: Ollie and Lia would talk about topics they posted on Facebook. They would read out what viewers replied or shared on their Facebook page.
  • The Week That Was: Every Friday, the show would recap all the fun and exciting things that happened from Sunday to Thursday.

Past Segments

  • Bike Wheel of Misfortune: This was a super popular segment! The hosts would spin a bike wheel, and whatever it landed on, they had to do a funny dare sent in by viewers. Dares included "Physical Challenge," "Face Off," "On Your Head," "Wild Card," and the famous "Down Your Pants."
  • Brain Squeeze: This was a quiz show where contestants could win cool prizes. Pip and Dan used to host it.
  • Chuck It In: Another very popular segment! Viewers would send in recipes for gross mixtures. Kellyn and Palmer would blend them up and then had to drink them. Yuck!
  • Game Roadtest: Kellyn and Seamus would test out new video games that were not yet released in Australia.
