Aire-la-Ville is a small town, also known as a municipality, located in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland. It's a charming place with a rich history and a close-knit community.

A Look Back: History of Aire-la-Ville
Aire-la-Ville has a long history! It was first mentioned way back in 1429. Back then, it was called Aeria Villa.
Later, in 1666, its name changed slightly to Haire-la-Ville. Over the centuries, it grew into the town we know today.
Exploring Aire-la-Ville: Its Geography
Aire-la-Ville covers an area of about 2.93 square kilometers (about 1.13 square miles). A big part of this land, about 41%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 23% of the area.
Around 20% of the land has buildings and roads. Rivers and lakes make up about 14%. A tiny bit, less than 1%, is land that can't be used for anything.
Most of the built-up areas are homes and roads. Power and water facilities also take up some space. The forests are mostly dense woods, with some smaller groups of trees. All the water in the municipality comes from flowing rivers.
The village is located next to the Rhône River, near the Verbois dam. There is also an incineration plant called Cheneviers within the town's borders.
Aire-la-Ville is made up of several smaller parts or villages. These include Treulaz, Cheneviers, Vieux-Four, and La Fin.
