Andrew Wotman (born October 20, 1990), known by his professional name Andrew Watt, is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer. As a producer, he helps other artists create and record their music. He has worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, and the Rolling Stones.
Watt is a two-time Grammy Award winner. In 2021, he won the special award for Producer of the Year. He was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2025 for co-writing the song "Never Too Late" with Elton John and Brandi Carlile.
Besides producing, Watt is a talented guitarist. He plays guitar for the Earthlings, which is the backing band for Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam during his solo shows.

Early Life and First Bands
Andrew Watt grew up in Great Neck, New York, which is close to Manhattan. This allowed him to be near the city's exciting music scene. His first jobs in the music world were playing guitar for artists like Jared Evan, Cody Simpson, and Justin Bieber.
In 2013, Watt helped form the rock band California Breed. He played guitar in the group alongside famous musicians Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple and Jason Bonham.
Two years later, in 2015, Watt released his own collection of songs called an EP, titled Ghost In My Head. The main song from the EP became popular, reaching number 30 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
Becoming a Famous Producer
After his early success as a musician, Watt became well-known for his work as a record producer. He has a talent for helping artists shape their sound and create hit albums.
In 2020, he produced the album Ordinary Man for rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. This project helped him win the Grammy Award for Producer of the Year in 2021.
Watt has also worked closely with Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of Pearl Jam. He produced Vedder's 2022 solo album, Earthling. Since 2022, Watt has been the guitarist in Vedder's solo touring band, the Earthlings.
His work in rock music continued with other legends. In 2023, he produced Every Loser, the nineteenth album by Iggy Pop. That same year, he produced and co-wrote three songs on Hackney Diamonds, the 26th album by the Rolling Stones. In 2024, he produced Pearl Jam's album, Dark Matter.
