Angélica María Vale Hartman, born on November 11, 1975, is a talented Mexican actress and singer. She is known professionally as Angélica Vale. Her mother is the famous actress and singer Angélica María, often called "Mexico's Sweetheart." Her father was the comedian Raúl Vale.

Angélica Vale has been acting for a long time. She became very famous in 2006. This was when she played the main character in the Mexican TV show La Fea Más Bella (which means The Prettiest Ugly Girl). In this show, she even acted alongside her real-life mother!

She also starred as Luchita Guerra in a web series called No me hallo. Luchita was a young woman who dreamed of becoming a singer. In 2012, Angélica was a team captain on the Mexican TV show Parodiando on the Televisa network. In 2016, she became a citizen of the United States. She still kept her Mexican citizenship too.

Acting Career

Angélica Vale was born in Mexico City, Mexico. When she was a child, she acted in the movie El Gran Triunfo in 1981. She played the daughter of a Mexican music star named Rigo Tovar.

For a few years, from 1982 to 1986, her family couldn't work for Televisa. This happened because they worked on a show called "Lupita" for a different TV network, TV Azteca. Angélica played the main role in "Lupita." In 1986, a producer named Ernesto Alonso helped them. He got the ban lifted, so her family could return to work on Televisa shows.

In 1998, Angélica played Julieta in Soñadoras. In 2001, she was Wendy Nayeli Pérez in Amigas y rivales. Both of these were big roles, and people really liked her acting. However, La Fea Más Bella was her first main role in a Mexican TV show.

Angélica is also a great comedian. She was one of the main people who impersonated (imitated) celebrities on the comedy show La Parodia from 2000 to 2005. She left the show for a short break. From 2005 to 2006, she performed in El Privilegio de Mandar. This show was a funny version of an older TV show.

TV shows called telenovelas are very popular in Spanish-speaking countries. They can make a lot of money. In 2006, La Fea Más Bella became the most-watched show on Univision in the U.S. This made many producers see Angélica Vale as a very successful actress. People thought this success would lead to even bigger opportunities for her.

Angélica Vale was on the cover of People en Español magazine's "Los 50 Más Bellos" (50 Most Beautiful) issue in 2007. She was also on the cover by herself in July 2007. This was mainly because of her new popularity. Many people in the entertainment business felt she was finally getting the international attention she deserved.

In April 2007, it was announced that Angélica Vale would appear on the American TV show Ugly Betty. She was supposed to play her character Lety again. But instead, she played a character named Angélica, who looked like Lety and was a dental assistant. This was in the show's first season finale. Angélica Vale continues to work with Televisa. She recently appeared on Parodiando.

Radio Career

On October 15, 2019, Angélica Vale started hosting a radio show. It was during the middle of the day on "Cali 93.9" KLLI in Los Angeles. This station plays Latin pop and reggaetón music. On January 28, 2020, she moved to the morning show. She also got a co-host, Jose Quintero.

Singing Career

Just like her mother, Angélica Vale is also a singer. She sang songs for the La Fea Más Bella TV show soundtrack. She also did great impressions of other singers. For example, she imitated Verónica Castro on La Parodia. She also sang the theme song for La Parodia.

While working on Soñadoras and Amigas y rivales, she imitated singers like Shakira, Thalía, and Laura León. She used some of these impressions again on La Parodia.

In 2007, after La Fea Más Bella ended, she sang one of the show's theme songs. This was during an appearance on El Show de Cristina. In 2008, she made a music album called Navidad con Amigos with Ricardo Montaner.

Angélica Vale has always been followed by paparazzi, especially about her personal life. She was linked to actor Alejandro Ibarra when she was younger. Later, she was also linked to singer Jose Luis Figueroa. Angélica Vale has tried to keep parts of her life private.

Angélica Vale's father was from Venezuela. Her mother is Mexican American and was born in Louisiana. Angélica has a Jewish grandfather. She speaks English and Spanish very well. She can also speak some French.

Angélica and her mother, Angélica María, have both been honored. They are among the few mother-daughter entertainers to have their names on the Paseo de las Luminarias at the Plaza de las Estrellas. Angélica was honored for her work in television and music. Also, both she and her mother have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Angélica Vale and her parents are featured in the 2007 book Televisa Presenta. This book was published when the Televisa network celebrated its 50th anniversary.
