Châtel-Saint-Denis (pronounced sha-TEL san den-EE) is a town in Switzerland. It is the main town of the Veveyse district in the Fribourg region. People sometimes call it Tsathi in the local language.

Châtel-Saint-Denis covers an area of about 47.9 square kilometers. A large part of this land, almost half, is used for farming. Another big part is covered by forests. The rest of the land has buildings, roads, or is unproductive.

The town is located by the Veveyse river, on the road between Bulle and Vevey. It includes the main village of Châtel-Saint-Denis, plus popular areas for skiing and hiking called Les Paccots and Fruence. There are also several smaller villages, known as hamlets, nearby. The area also has two beautiful nature spots: Lac de Lussy and Lac des Joncs.
