Cornwall is found in the south-central part of Addison County. It sits in a wide, flat area called the Champlain Valley.
Nearby Towns and Waterways
Cornwall shares its borders with several other towns:
- To the northeast is Middlebury, which is the main town of the county.
- Salisbury is to the southeast.
- Whiting is to the south.
- To the southwest, you'll find Shoreham.
- Bridport is to the west.
- And Weybridge is to the north.
A river called Otter Creek forms part of the border between Cornwall and Salisbury.
Roads and Travel
You can travel through Cornwall using a few main roads:
- Vermont Route 30 goes north and south through the town. It's also known as the "Seth Warner Memorial Highway," named after a famous person from Vermont, Seth Warner.
- Vermont Route 125 crosses the northern part of town, going east and west.
- Vermont Route 74 starts in the center of town and heads southwest. This road leads to a ferry that crosses Lake Champlain to Ticonderoga.

Important Landmarks in Cornwall
Cornwall has a special monument that honors soldiers who died in different wars. The newest name on the monument is from a soldier who passed away on November 10, 1918. This was just one day before World War I officially ended.
