Charles Kingston, who the Division of Kingston is named after.

The Division of Kingston is an area in South Australia where people vote to choose a representative for the Australian Parliament. It's like a special zone for elections! This division covers the southern part of the Adelaide city area. It includes many suburbs such as Aldinga Beach, Christie Downs, Christies Beach, Hackham, Hallett Cove, Huntfield Heights, Lonsdale, Maslin Beach, Moana, Morphett Vale, Old Noarlunga, Onkaparinga Hills, Port Noarlunga, Reynella, Seaford, Sellicks Beach, Sheidow Park, Port Willunga, Trott Park, Woodcroft, and parts of Happy Valley and McLaren Flat.

This voting area was created in 1949. It is named after Charles Kingston, who was a very important leader in South Australia from 1893 to 1899. He was also one of the first people elected to the Australian House of Representatives in 1901.

Who Represents Kingston?

People in the Division of Kingston vote for someone to represent them in the Australian House of Representatives. This person is called a Member of Parliament (MP). Their job is to speak up for the people living in Kingston and help make decisions for the country.
