Grizzly Peak is a tall mountain in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in North America. It is also known as Grizzly Peak D. This mountain stands 13,433-foot (4,094 m) (about 4,094 meters) high.
Grizzly Peak is found in the Arapaho National Forest in Colorado, United States. It sits on the Continental Divide. This divide separates Clear Creek and Summit counties. The mountain is about 2.1 miles (3.4 km) southeast of Loveland Pass. A nearby mountain is Torreys Peak.

Where is Grizzly Peak Located?
Grizzly Peak is part of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. You can find its peak near Interstate 70. It is just east of the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel.
Bigger mountains like Grays Peak (14,278 feet (4,400 m)) and Torreys Peak (14,275 feet (4,400 m)) are close by. The nearest town is Silver Plume, Colorado. Another nearby peak is Mount Sniktau, which is 13,235 feet (4,034 m) tall.
There are also fun places nearby. These include Loveland Ski Area, Breckenridge Ski Resort, Keystone Ski Resort, and the Arapahoe Basin.

Hiking to the Summit
You can hike to the top of Grizzly Peak! The trail starts right from a parking lot at Loveland Pass. This pass is on U.S. Highway 6.
The hiking path begins above the treeline, at about 12,000 feet (3,700 m) (about 3,658 meters). It goes all the way up to the peak. You usually do not need special mountain climbing gear like ropes to reach the top. You can also hike to Mount Sniktau, a smaller peak, from the same spot at Loveland Pass.
From the top of Grizzly Peak, hikers get amazing views. You can see Loveland Pass below you. You can also spot Chihuahua Lake and the ski trails at Arapahoe Basin.
