Islam in Russia facts for kids
Islam is one of the biggest religions in Russia, right after Orthodox Christianity. It's also growing quickly in the country. While about 7% of Russia's population is Muslim, some estimates suggest it could be as high as 24%. Many Muslims in Russia belong to different ethnic groups, and most of them are Sunni Muslims who follow the Hanafi school of thought.
