Isyana Sarasvati (born 2 May 1993) is a talented Indonesian singer and songwriter. She also started her own music company called REDROSE RECORDS. Isyana studied music at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore and the Royal College of Music in London.
She is famous for writing her own songs. All the songs on her first pop album, Explore! (2015), and her next three albums, Paradox (2017), Lexicon (2019), and ISYANA (2023), were written by her. Isyana has also performed as an opera singer in Singapore. She has won many awards in Indonesia and around the world for her music.
Before she became a famous pop and multi-genre singer, Isyana was known for playing classical music. She also joined many music competitions. When she was 15, she won an award for "best composer." Her song Wings of Your Shadow was chosen as one of the top 12 compositions out of 3,500 entries in a big international competition. Because of this, she played the electone at a concert in Tokyo, Japan, in 2008.
Isyana signed a music deal with Sony Music Indonesia in 2014. She then released her first two songs, Keep Being You (2014) and Tetap Dalam Jiwa (2015). Her albums have been very popular and well-liked by fans and critics.
In 2018, Isyana sang the first song at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. She performed Asia's Who We Are in front of more than 55,000 people.
In 2019, Walt Disney Pictures chose Isyana Sarasvati and Gamaliel Tapiheru to sing A Whole New World for the Indonesian version of the movie Aladdin. They even got to meet Alan Menken, who writes music for many Walt Disney Animation Studios films.
Isyana has also been a coach on TV shows like The Voice Indonesia, The Voice Kids Indonesia, and The Voice: All-Stars (Indonesia).
In 2019, she was listed in Forbes Indonesia's 30 Under 30 for young people who have achieved a lot in art, style, and entertainment. In 2020, Forbes Asia also included her on their 30 Under 30 list for entertainment and sports.
In 2019, Isyana released her third album, LEXICON. This album showed a change in her music style, moving from pop and R&B to classical and progressive rock. Now, she is known as a multi-genre singer, meaning she sings many different styles of music.
After working with Sony Music Indonesia for six years, Isyana started her own music company, REDROSE RECORDS, in 2020. In 2021, Isyana and her husband, Rayhan, released a song called 1+1 to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
In 2022, Garena Free Fire Indonesia worked with Isyana for their Battle In Style event. Her song "IL SOGNO" was even used as the background music for a Free Fire competition.
Isyana also released her first NFT (Non-Fungible Token) called My Mystery NFT in 2022.
In 2023, Isyana received the NAFA Distinguished Alumni Medal 2023 from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. This award recognized her great achievements in the music world. She also attended the Forbes Under 30 Summit Asia in Singapore and performed her songs IL SOGNO and Unlock the Key.
Isyana was also a guest star in a documentary called Music & Cultural Documentary (All Rounder) in 2023. This show was aired on a South Korean TV station, KBS TV. Since starting her own record label, Isyana has also become a speaker at many events.

Early Life and Education
Isyana Sarasvati was born on 2 May 1993 in Bandung, West Java. She lived outside Indonesia for some of her childhood because her parents worked and studied in Belgium. When she was seven, her family moved back to Bandung.
Isyana is the youngest child of Luana Marpanda, a music teacher, and Sapta Dwikardana, a university lecturer. Her older sister, Rara Sekar Larasati, is also a musician. Isyana grew up in a family that loved learning and music. Her mother introduced her to music when she was only four years old. Isyana can play many instruments, including the piano, electone, flute, violin, and saxophone.
Isyana started her music career in Indonesia by uploading cover songs on YouTube and SoundCloud in 2012 and 2013. At first, she turned down offers for music deals because she wanted to finish her studies. But in 2014, she signed with Sony Music Indonesia.
When she was 16, Isyana received a scholarship from the Singapore Government to study Music Performance at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). She also studied in Taiwan for a while in 2012. In 2013, she earned a Diploma in Music Performance. Isyana then received another scholarship to continue her studies at NAFA, working with the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London. In 2015, she received the RCM Excellence Award Scholarship. On 26 September 2015, Isyana graduated from NAFA with a Bachelor of Music degree and won awards for being the best graduate.

Personal Life
Isyana Sarasvati comes from Javanese and Madura families. She met her husband, dr. Rayhan Maditra Indrayanto, in junior high school. They started dating in 2007 and were together for 12 years before getting engaged in 2019. They got married on 2 February 2020 in Bandung.

Talk Show Hosting
Isyana Sarasvati created her own show called "METAL," which means MAKAN SANTEI TAPI ENDOL (Eating Relaxed But Delicious). This show was her first time being a host. It's a relaxed show where she chats and eats with different guest stars in each episode. The first episode aired on 9 April 2021 and featured singer Rossa.

Isyana Sarasvati has won many awards from different organizations, including Anugerah Musik Indonesia, Billboard Indonesia, and Dahsyatnya Awards. She was also recognized by Forbes Indonesia's 30 Under 30 in 2019 and Forbes Asia in 2020 for her achievements in entertainment. In 2023, she was listed in Fortune Indonesia 40 under 40.
Isyana was named Best Asian Artist Indonesia in 2016 and Best Composer of the Year in 2017 at the MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards). She also won two Anugerah Planet Muzik awards. In 2017, she was nominated for Best Southeast Asia Act at the MTV EMA in London.
For her support and contributions to Indonesian music, she received the 2016 Anugerah Kekayaan Intelektual Nasional award from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
