Isyana Sarasvati (born May 2, 1993) is a talented Indonesian singer and songwriter. She also founded her own music company, Redrose Records. Isyana studied music at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore and the Royal College of Music in London.
She is famous for writing all her own songs. Her first pop album, Explore!, came out in 2015. She also wrote all the songs on her next albums: Paradox (2017), Lexicon (2019), and ISYANA (2023). Isyana has even performed as an opera singer in Singapore. She has won many awards in Indonesia and around the world.
Before becoming a popular singer, Isyana was known for classical music. She also took part in many music competitions. When she was 15, she won an award for "best composer." Her song Wings of Your Shadow was chosen as one of the top compositions in a big international competition. This led her to perform in Tokyo, Japan. In 2014, Isyana signed with Sony Music Indonesia. She then released her first two songs, Keep Being You (2014) and Tetap Dalam Jiwa (2015). Her albums have been very successful and well-liked.
In September 2018, Isyana sang the first song at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. She performed Asia's Who We Are for over 55,000 people at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
In May 2019, Walt Disney Pictures chose Isyana and Gamaliel Tapiheru to sing A Whole New World. This song was for the Indonesian version of the 2019 movie Aladdin. They even met Alan Menken, who writes music for many Disney films.
In July 2019, Isyana became a coach on Season 4 of The Voice Indonesia. She also coached on The Voice Kids Indonesia Season 4 and The Voice: All-Stars (Indonesia).
Isyana was recognized by Forbes Indonesia in 2019 as one of 30 inspiring young achievers. In April 2020, Forbes Asia also included her on their 30 Under 30 list for entertainment and sports.
On November 29, 2019, Isyana released her third album, LEXICON. This album showed a change in her music style. She moved from pop and R&B to classical and progressive rock. Now, she is known as a singer who can perform many different music styles.
After working with Sony Music Indonesia for six years, Isyana started her own music company, Redrose Records, on October 20, 2020. On February 2, 2021, Isyana and her husband, Rayhan, released a song called 1+1. This song celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
In March 2022, Garena Free Fire Indonesia announced a partnership with Isyana. She was featured as The Diva in their Battle In Style concept. In October 2022, Isyana released her first NFT, called My Mystery NFT.
As a former student of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Isyana received the NAFA Distinguished Alumni Medal 2023. This award honored her achievements in the music industry.
In December 2023, Isyana attended the important Forbes Under 30 Summit Asia in Singapore. She performed her original songs IL SOGNO and Unlock the Key on a grand piano.
Also in 2023, Isyana was a special guest with Hwang So-yoon from the band Se So Neon. They appeared in a documentary called Music & Cultural Documentary (All Rounder). It was shown on South Korean TV station, KBS TV.
Since starting her record label, Isyana has often spoken at different events.
In November 2024, Isyana re-arranged her song "My Mystery" before her concert celebrating ten years in music. This was her first time working with an international musician, the famous guitarist Marty Friedman. To mark a decade of her music career, Isyana held a concert called Isyana Sarasvati Lost In Harmony a Decade Live Concert. It took place on November 16, 2024, at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

Early Life and Education
Isyana Sarasvati was born on May 2, 1993, in Bandung, West Java. She spent some of her early childhood in Belgium because her parents worked and studied there. When she was seven, her family moved back to Bandung.
Isyana is the younger daughter of Luana Marpanda, a music teacher, and Sapta Dwikardana, a lecturer. Her older sister, Rara Sekar Larasatiflute, violin, and saxophone.
, is a cultural anthropologist and also sang in a band. Isyana grew up in a family of teachers. Her mother introduced her to music when she was four years old. Isyana can play many instruments, including piano, electone,Isyana's music career in Indonesia began with her singing covers of popular songs. She uploaded these songs to her YouTube and SoundCloud channels in 2012 and 2013. At first, she turned down offers for music contracts because she wanted to focus on her studies. But in 2014, she signed with Sony Music Indonesia.
When she was 16, Isyana received a scholarship from the Singapore Government. This allowed her to study Music Performance at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). In 2012, she was an exchange student in Tainan, Taiwan. She earned a Diploma in Music Performance in 2013. Isyana then received another full scholarship to continue her studies at NAFA. This was part of a program with the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London. In her final year, she received the RCM Excellence Award Scholarship in 2015. On September 26, 2015, Isyana graduated from NAFA with a Bachelor of Music degree. She also received awards for being the Best Graduate and the Embassy of Peru award.

Isyana Sarasvati met dr. Rayhan Maditra Indrayanto in junior high school. They started dating in 2007. After being together for 12 years, they got engaged on December 29, 2019. They were married on February 2, 2020, in Bandung.

She was named Best Asian Artist Indonesia 2016 and Best Composer of the Year 2017 at the MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards). She also won 2 Anugerah Planet Muzik awards. In late 2017, Isyana was nominated for Best Southeast Asia Act at the MTV EMA in London. In April 2020, Forbes Asia included Isyana Sarasvati on its 30 Under 30 list for Entertainment and Sports.
For her help and support for Indonesian music, she received the 2016 Anugerah Kekayaan Intelektual Nasional award. This award is for copyright and related rights from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
