2003 ← Junior Eurovision Song Contest → 2005

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 was a big music competition for young singers. It was the second time this exciting event took place. Kids aged 8 to 15 from different countries showed off their singing talents.

The show happened on 20 November 2004, in Håkons Hall, Lillehammer, Norway. It was a long show, lasting over two hours! The main idea for the competition was "Bright Nordic Winter Nights." Stian Barsnes Simonsen and Nadia Hasnaoui were the friendly hosts.

Millions of people watched the contest. It was shown in 20 countries, with about 100 million viewers. Eighteen countries joined in the fun. France and Switzerland were new to the contest this year. Two other countries, Germany and Israel, had planned to join but later decided not to.

In the end, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Croatia took the top three spots. This was interesting because these were the same three countries that did well in the previous year's contest too!
