The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 was the third time this exciting music competition happened for young singers. Kids aged 8 to 15 from different countries took part. The big show was held on 26 November 2005, at the Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium.
Belgian TV channels, Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) and Radio télévision belge de la communauté française (RTBF), worked together to broadcast the event live. They teamed up with the European Broadcasting Union to make it happen. Belgium was chosen to host the contest over five other countries, including Croatia and the Netherlands. The show was hosted by Marcel Vanthilt and Maureen Louys.

How Voting Works
In the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, countries vote for their favorite songs. They give points from 1 to 8, then 10, and finally 12 points to their top 10 songs. The song with the most points wins!
To make sure no country ended up with zero points, the presenters started the show by giving every contestant 12 points right away. This meant everyone had a good start!
