Maries County is a place in Missouri, a state in the United States. In 2020, about 8,432 people lived here. The main town, or county seat, is Vienna. The county started on March 2, 1855. It got its name from the Maries River and Little Maries River. The word "Maries" comes from a French word, marais, which means "marsh," "lake," or "pond."
