Milojko "Mickey" Spajić (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Милојко Спајић; born 24 September 1987) is a politician from Montenegro. He has been the Prime Minister of Montenegro since October 2023. Before this, he was the Minister of Finance and Social Welfare from 2020 to 2022.
Spajić is the leader of the centrist political party called Europe Now. He is one of the youngest leaders of a country in the world.

Early Life and School
Milojko Spajić was born on 24 September 1987 in Pljevlja, which was part of Yugoslavia at the time. He was a very good student in high school.
He then went to universities in Japan, including Saitama University and Osaka University. He studied a subject called ecometrics there. He received a scholarship from the Japanese government to study in Japan. He also studied in China for a short time. Later, he earned his master's degree from HEC Paris in France.
Besides his native language, he can speak English, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and French.
Working in Finance
After finishing his studies, Spajić worked in finance in the United States on Wall Street. Wall Street is a famous street in New York City where many big financial companies are located. He also worked in Paris and Tokyo.
Before he became a politician, Spajić was a credit analyst for Goldman Sachs. This is a very large global investment bank. He also worked as a partner for a venture capital fund in Singapore. A venture capital fund invests money in new, growing companies.
Starting in Politics
Spajić began his political journey as a non-party member. During the 2020 parliamentary elections, he was part of the team for Zdravko Krivokapić. Spajić said he returned to Montenegro because of a law about religious freedom. He felt this law showed many problems in Montenegro. He supported the Serbian Orthodox Church during this time.
Becoming a Minister
On 4 December 2020, Spajić became the Minister of Finance and Social Welfare. He served under Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić. During his time as minister, Spajić and economy minister Jakov Milatović introduced an economic plan called "Europe Now." Spajić stated that he gave away his entire salary as a minister.
Founding Europe Now Party
In 2022, Spajić and Milatović started a new political party called Europe Now. Spajić became the president of the party. The party took part in local elections in 2022.
Elections in 2023
Spajić wanted to run for President of Montenegro in the 2023 presidential election. However, his application was not accepted. This was because he was also a citizen of Serbia. He explained that he became a Serbian citizen in 2009 to travel to Japan without needing a visa. Instead, Jakov Milatović ran for president for their party and won.
After the presidential election, Spajić decided to lead his party's list for the 2023 parliamentary election. During this election campaign, some politicians made claims about Spajić having connections to a cryptocurrency developer. Spajić's party denied these claims. In the end, the Europe Now party won the most seats in the Parliament of Montenegro.
On 10 August 2023, President Jakov Milatović asked Spajić to form a new government. Some people protested against Spajić's plans to include certain parties in his new government.

On 31 October 2023, the Parliament of Montenegro approved a new government. Milojko Spajić became the Prime Minister of Montenegro.
Political Ideas
Foreign Policy
Spajić supports Montenegro joining the European Union. He also believes that joining NATO was a good decision for Montenegro. However, he would not want Montenegrin soldiers to be sent to the Baltic states.
Spajić is against Montenegro changing its mind about recognizing Kosovo as an independent country. He thinks that topic is already settled. He also wants Montenegro to have closer relationships with Serbia.
Personal Life
Milojko Spajić has a daughter with his former partner. He is a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
