Molly My Marianne Sandén (born 3 July 1992), also known as My Marianne, is a Swedish pop singer and voice actress. When she was a teenager, she represented Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006. She also took part in Melodifestivalen in 2009, 2012, and 2016. Her sisters Frida and Mimmi are also singers. In 2018, Sandén released her third album, Större. Her fourth album, Det bästa kanske inte hänt än, came out in early 2019. Her album Strawberry Blonde was released in June 2025.

About Molly Sandén

Molly My Marianne Sandén was born in Stockholm, Sweden. She went to the Adolf Fredrik's Music School. Later, she studied at Rytmus Music High School and finished in 2011. Molly also practiced and wrote music at Helges song studio in Gävle. There, she joined a band called Helges All Stars. Other members included Alice Svensson, Amy Diamond, Zara Larsson, and her sisters Frida and Mimmi.

Molly's Music Journey

Early Career: Junior Eurovision and Duets (2006–2007)

Molly Sandén represented Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in 2006. She sang a song called "Det finaste någon kan få". She finished in third place, which is Sweden's best result ever in that contest. She also performed live on TV for New Year's Eve in 2006.

In 2006, she sang a duet with Magnus Carlsson called "Julens tid är här" for his Christmas album. Molly also sang with Markoolio on his album. In summer 2007, she joined a music tour called Diggiloo.

She sang a Swedish version of "You Are the Music in Me" with Ola Svensson. This song was from the Disney movie High School Musical 2. They also performed it at the Lilla Melodifestivalen final in 2007. The year before, Molly announced Sweden's votes in the Junior Eurovision contest.

Melodifestivalen and New Music (2008–2016)

Molly Sandén appeared on a TV show called Så ska det låta in 2008. She also joined the Diggiloo tour again that summer. Her cover of "Den underbara dagen du kommer hem" was used in ads for a fast food chain.

In 2008, she sang with other artists in a tribute concert for Ted Gärdestad. She also released a Swedish version of "Right Here, Right Now" from High School Musical 3 with Brandur. In 2010, Molly competed in the dancing show Let's Dance and finished fourth.

Molly entered Melodifestivalen in 2009 with her song "Så vill stjärnorna". She made it to the final but finished last. She tried again in Melodifestivalen 2012 with "Why Am I Crying" and placed fifth in the final.

In 2013, Molly launched her own clothing brand called 'My by Molly'. She released an EP (a shorter album) called Like No One's Watching in June 2015. It included popular songs like "Freak" and "Phoenix".

Molly returned to Melodifestivalen for the third time in Melodifestivalen 2016. She sang "Youniverse", a song she helped write. She reached the final and placed sixth overall.

Albums and Film Music (2017–Present)

Molly Sandén released her album Större in April 2018. It had six singles and reached number four in Sweden. Her fourth album, Det bästa kanske inte hänt än, came out in May 2019. This album had nine songs and reached number two on the Swedish album chart.

In 2020, Molly lent her voice to the character Sigrit Ericksdóttir in the Netflix movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. She sang all of Sigrit's songs in the film. The movie's soundtrack, which features Molly's singing, was nominated for a Grammy Award. The song "Husavik (My Hometown)" was even nominated for an Oscar!

Molly's third Swedish album, Dom ska veta, was released in May 2021. It included popular songs like "Jag mår bra nu" with Newkid and "Kärlek slutar alltid med bråk". Her album Strawberry Blonde was released in June 2025.

Molly's Personal Life

Molly Sandén was in a relationship with singer Eric Saade from 2007 to 2012. She was also with Danny Saucedo from 2013 to 2019, and they were engaged for a time.

In 2012, Molly shared that she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This happened after she collapsed during a trip to Spain. In January 2023, Molly announced that she was expecting her first child.
