Zara Maria Larsson (born 16 December 1997) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She became famous in 2008 after winning the second season of Talang, which is the Swedish version of the Got Talent TV show.
Later, she became known around the world with hit songs like "Lush Life" (2015), "Never Forget You" (2015), "Girls Like" (2016) with Tinie Tempah, and "Symphony" (2017) with Clean Bandit.
In 2012, Zara signed with TEN Music Group. She then released her first music collection, an extended play (EP) called Introducing, in January 2013. Early Life and Education
Zara Maria Larsson was born in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden. Her parents are Agnetha and Anders Larsson. She has a younger sister named Hanna, who is also a singer in the band Lennix.
Zara has said that she wanted to be "immortal" like Elvis Presley since she was five years old. She was inspired by singers like Carola Häggkvist and Whitney Houston.
She went to Gubbängsskolan for primary school. Later, she transferred to the Royal Swedish Ballet School. She also attended Kulturama, an art school in Stockholm.

Zara Larsson won the 2008 season of Talang when she was 10 years old. She won 500,000 Swedish kronor. The song she sang in the final, "My Heart Will Go On" (originally by Celine Dion), was released as her first single. It reached number seven on the Swedish Singles Chart.

On 15 January 2015, Zara released Uncover, her first international EP. This EP featured songs from her earlier album 1.
On 5 June 2015, she released "Lush Life". This song became her second number one hit in Sweden and was certified 4x platinum. It also reached the top five in 18 other countries.
On 22 July 2015, Zara released "Never Forget You" with British singer MNEK. This song became number one in Sweden and reached the top five in the UK.
In February 2016, Zara was featured on Tinie Tempah's song "Girls Like". She also sang on the official song for UEFA Euro 2016, "This One's for You" with David Guetta.
On 1 September 2016, Zara released "Ain't My Fault". In October 2016, Time magazine named her one of the "30 Most Influential Teens of 2016". She released "I Would Like" on 11 November 2016, which reached number two in the UK.

On 27 January 2023, Zara released "Can't Tame Her". This was the first song from her fourth album, Venus. She then released "End of Time" in May 2023. The third song from the album, "On My Love", was released in September 2023 with French DJ David Guetta.
On 26 October 2023, Zara officially announced Venus. She also released a holiday EP called Honor the Light in December 2023. On 19 January 2024, she released "You Love Who You Love". Venus was released on 9 February 2024 and received positive reviews.
In May 2023, Netflix Nordic announced a new film called A Part of You. Zara Larsson is one of the main actors in this film, which was released on May 31st, 2024.

In 2015, Zara hosted a summer speech on Sveriges Radio, a Swedish radio station. She was 17, making her the youngest person to give such a speech. In her speech, she talked about her life, her music, and her belief in equal rights for everyone.
