Monster Energy NASCAR All Star Race facts for kids
The Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race is a super exciting event in NASCAR racing. It's not part of the regular championship season. Instead, it's a special race where only the best drivers get to compete for a huge prize!
Drivers who have won a race in the past year or who have won the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship are invited. If a driver isn't already in, they can try to qualify through another race called the Monster Energy Open. Fans can even vote for their favorite driver to get a spot in the All-Star Race!
The race has a unique format that often changes to keep things exciting. Currently, it has four parts, called stages. There's one 30-lap stage, two 20-lap stages, and a final 10-lap stage. The driver who wins the final stage takes home a massive prize! The main winner gets $1,000,000, and drivers also get bonus prizes for winning individual stages.
