About Parov Stelar
Marcus Füreder started as a DJ in nightclubs in the late 1990s. He began producing and releasing his own music in 2000. He first released music under his real name and also as "Plasma." In 2003, he created his own record label called Etage Noir Recordings.
A year later, in 2004, he released the EP (Extended Play) Kiss Kiss and the album Rough Cuts under the name Parov Stelar. He has worked with famous singers like Lana Del Rey, Bryan Ferry, and Lady Gaga.
Band Members and Collaborations
From 2011 to 2019, Cleo Panther was the main singer for Parov Stelar's band. After her, Elena Karafizi became the lead singer. Elena comes from Chișinău, Moldova, and has a wide range of musical skills.
Another important singer is Anduze, who officially joined the band in 2018. However, he had been working with Parov Stelar since 2012, helping to write songs and performing as a featured artist.
Parov Stelar as a Visual Artist
In the summer of 2021, Parov Stelar showed his artwork to the public for the first time in his hometown of Linz, Austria. The Francisco Carolinum Museum displayed 25 of his large paintings. Some of these paintings include "HELLO Mom," which is a tribute to his mother, Margit Füreder, who is also an artist. Other works like "I'll be OK soon" and "Toxic Lover" show how he uses art to express his life experiences and feelings.
His Life
Marcus Füreder was married to Barbara Lichtenauer, who is also known as Lilja Bloom. Together, they started a design company called Stelarbloom. They separated in early 2020.
