San Antonio Province (which is Provincia de San Antonio in Spanish) is one of eight provinces in the central Valparaíso area of Chile. A province is like a large county or district within a region. The main city and capital of this province is San Antonio, which is also a very important port city.

San Antonio Province covers an area of about 1,511.6 square kilometers (or 583.6 square miles). This makes it the third smallest province in the Valparaíso region. Only two other provinces, Quillota and Marga Marga, are smaller.
Where is San Antonio Province Located?
This province is right on the Pacific Ocean coast. To the north, it shares a border with the Casablanca area in the Valparaíso province. To the east, it borders the Melipilla area in the Santiago Metropolitan region. South of San Antonio Province is the Navidad area, which is part of the O'Higgins region. The Pacific Ocean is to its west.
