Shane Steven Harper (born February 14, 1993) is an American actor and singer. He is famous for his roles as Spencer on the TV show Good Luck Charlie, Josh Wheaton in the movie God's Not Dead, and Victor Flynn on Power Book IV: Force.

Early Life and Talents
Shane Harper was born in La Jolla, a neighborhood in San Diego, California. His parents are Tanya and Scott Harper. He has a big sister named Samantha, who is also a professional dancer. His younger brother, Sullivan, is a model.
Shane started dancing and acting when he was nine years old. He was part of local theater groups and competed in dance. At the same age, he also began singing and learning to play the guitar and piano. He is skilled in many dance styles, including ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, and tap. From ages four to 12, he studied martial arts and earned a black belt in Karate. In 2006, a talent agent saw him at a dance competition and offered to represent him.

Acting Roles
Before becoming a well-known actor, Shane Harper had small roles as a dancer in shows and movies like High School Musical 2 and Re-Animated. He was also one of the main dancers on Nickelodeon's Dance on Sunset. In 2006, he danced in the music video Step Up with Samantha Jade.
In 2010, Shane got his first movie roles in My Name is Khan and Flipped. He also started a recurring role as Spencer Walsh on Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie, where he acted alongside Bridgit Mendler. He also appeared as a guest on Wizards of Waverly Place and sang his song "One Step Closer" on So Random!. Later, he was in seven episodes of the MTV series Awkward as Austin Welch.
In March 2014, Shane starred in the movie God's Not Dead. He played Josh Wheaton, a college student who had to prove that God exists to his atheist professor. For this movie, Shane wrote a song called "Hold You Up," which encourages people to stand strong in their faith. This song became very popular, reaching number 1 on some music charts.
He also played Brandon in the dance movie Dance-Off. This film was about two rival dance teams competing for a national championship. Next, Shane starred as Ian Chandler in the MTV series Happyland. In 2015, he played Stephen in the family movie Lift Me Up.
In 2016, Shane played one of the disciples in the musical TV special The Passion. In 2017, he was Robbie in the TV movie Dirty Dancing. He also appeared in the indie film Flock of Four and guest-starred on the CBS shows Code Black and Wisdom of the Crowd.
In 2018, Shane returned as Josh Wheaton in God's Not Dead: A Light in Darkness, the third movie in the series. He also played Tom Paxton in the movie The Time Capsule. More recently, in 2020, Shane starred as Junior in the Starz series Hightown and Logan Davis in the Hulu miniseries A Teacher. Since 2022, he has been a main character, Victor Flynn, in Power Book IV: Force.
Music Journey
Shane Harper's first song, "Dance with Me," came out on March 30, 2010. Its music video showed him dancing and playing guitar. In 2011, he signed with AMi Records. He then released "One Step Closer," which was the second song from his first album. His self-titled album, Shane Harper, was released on April 12, 2011. The last song from that album was "Rocketship."
In 2011, Shane also performed as an opening act for Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson on their Waiting 4U Tour. He also opened for Miranda Cosgrove on her Dancing Crazy Tour. A special version of his first album, with four extra songs, was released on February 14, 2012. In 2012, Shane released an EP (Extended Play) called Dancin in the Rain.
In 2016, Shane announced he had signed a new record deal with Capitol. On April 29, 2016, he shared on Twitter that he would join Jacob Whitesides on his "The Lovesick Tour." On May 27, 2016, Shane released another EP titled Like I Did. He released a music video for "Like I Did" on August 11, 2016.
Personal Life
Shane Harper married his Good Luck Charlie co-star Samantha Boscarino in 2025. Shane is a devoted Christian.
