Dance on Sunset was a super cool TV show on Nickelodeon that mixed dance and music! It was hosted by Quddus (whose full name is Benjamin Quddus Philippe). The show was all about teaching kids and teens awesome dance moves. These moves were called "Fresh-Squeezed Dance."

A talented choreographer named Tony Testa and a special dance group called the Nick 6 showed everyone how to do the dances. They would go slowly and repeat the steps many times so viewers could learn. There were even "advanced" versions of the dances on the show's website for those who wanted a bigger challenge!

Each episode also featured famous music guests. Some of the stars who appeared included Akon, Natasha Bedingfield, Miranda Cosgrove, Fall Out Boy, Fergie, Janet Jackson, Sean Kingston, Lil' Mama, Jesse McCartney, Menudo, Omarion, Panic! at the Disco, and Ashlee Simpson. The show also had a live studio audience who got to dance along!

Dance on Sunset first aired on March 29, 2008. It came on right after the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards. The show got its name because it was filmed at Nickelodeon on Sunset in Hollywood, California. Sadly, the show was canceled because not enough people were watching it. The very last episode aired on June 21, 2008. The show's website was also shut down on December 21, 2017.

Meet the Dancers: The Nick 6

The show had an amazing dance team called the Nick 6. These dancers were between 15 and 22 years old when the show started. They were guided by Tony Testa, who used to be a choreographer for superstar Janet Jackson. The group was chosen to be diverse, meaning they came from different backgrounds and had unique dance styles.

Karen Chuang: Dancer and Student

Karen Chuang was born on March 26, 1990, in San Jose, California. She was a very smart student and graduated from UCLA with a degree in business economics. While in college, she was a leader for a hip-hop dance team called NSU Modern. After the show, Karen continued her career as a professional dancer. She has danced for many famous artists like Lady Gaga and Kanye West. She also loves fashion!

Johnny Erasme: From Florida to California

Johnny Erasme was born on May 11, 1989, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was part of a dance group called the JammX Kids. His family moved to California from New Orleans, Louisiana, after Hurricane Katrina. Johnny is also a rapper and plays the guitar. He even released his own music CD!

Ashley Galvan: A Dance Star

Ashley Galvan was a high school senior when Dance on Sunset began. She is from Visalia, California. Ashley started dancing when she was just three years old! She learned many dance styles, including jazz, ballet, tap, and hip-hop. She won an award in 2007 for her dancing. Ashley also appeared in other TV shows and commercials. She even competed on So You Think You Can Dance and was one of the top 11 dancers!

Shane Harper: Actor and Dancer

Shane Harper was born on February 14, 1993, in La Jolla, California. Before Dance on Sunset, he was a main dancer in Disney Channel's High School Musical 2. He also appeared as an extra in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101. Over the years, Shane has focused more on acting. You might know him as Spencer Walsh from the Disney Channel show Good Luck Charlie.

Aubree Storm: Dancing for the Stars

Aubree Storm was born on January 4, 1986, in Elburn, Illinois. She trained in many dance styles like ballet, jazz, and tap. Aubree danced in the "High School Musical" concert tour. She also performed with Ashley Tisdale on TV shows. Aubree has danced for other big names like Willow Smith, Cher Lloyd, and Justin Bieber on his "Believe Tour."

Hefa Tuita: A Versatile Dancer

Hefa Tuita was born on June 18, 1991, in Spanish Fork, Utah. He was also a dancer in Disney Channel's High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Hefa is skilled in many dance forms, including Latin, salsa, hip-hop, and ballroom. He has danced with famous artists like Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Usher, and Chris Brown.

Each episode of Dance on Sunset was packed with fun! They usually featured five popular songs and had at least one special musical guest. And, of course, each episode taught a brand new "Fresh-Squeezed Dance" for everyone to learn! The first season was filmed from October 2007 to March 2008.
