The Fast and the Furry first showed in some movie theaters in the United States on September 3, 2005. It was released again in June 2006. Later, you could buy it on VHS and DVD on October 11, 2005. It also came out on Blu-ray on April 5, 2011.

Story of the Big Race

The movie starts with Tom and Jerry destroying their house during one of their usual chases. Tom's owner gets very upset and kicks them out! With nowhere to live, they see a TV ad for a huge race called the "Fabulous Super Race." The winner gets a fancy mansion!

Tom and Jerry quickly build their own custom cars from a nearby junkyard. Then, they head to "Globwobbler Studios" in Hollywood, California. They want to join the race and win that mansion!

Meet the Racers

Many different characters join the race. There's an old lady named Grammy and her fierce dog, Squirty. Gorthan the Destroyer of Light is a scary-looking dark lord who also loves flowers. Steed Dirkly is a big superstar. Malory "Soccer Mom" McDoogle is a busy mom with four kids.

There's also a scientist called Dr. Professor. But he gets eliminated before the race even begins! He accidentally vaporizes himself and his car. This leaves Tom and Jerry ready to race against everyone else, and each other!

Race Across the World

The race kicks off in Hollywood. Grammy takes the lead early on, but Steed soon overtakes her. When the racers reach the finish line in Mexico, the boss of Globwobbler Studios, J.W., is thrilled. The TV ratings are super high! So, he decides to make the race even longer.

The next part of the race is in the Amazonian jungle. Tom tries to cheat by changing a road sign. Because of this, Soccer Mom accidentally drives her minivan into a pit of quicksand and is out of the race. Steed wins this leg too, with Grammy in second place. But J.W. still wants more!

The race hosts, Biff Buzzard and Buzz Blister, announce the next stop: Antarctica! The racers have to change their vehicles to travel on water.

More Eliminations and Twists

On the way to Antarctica, Steed's vehicle sinks. He is eliminated from the race after a strange encounter with a mermaid. Gorthan is the first to reach Antarctica. But he's also eliminated when Biff and Buzz trick him into touching a metal pole. He accidentally floats away on an iceberg.

As Tom, Jerry, and Grammy arrive, Grammy is eliminated. She and Squirty are accidentally swallowed by a whale, thanks to Tom's tricks! J.W. then tells the hosts that the racers must change their vehicles again. This time, they need to travel underwater to Australia.

While racing underwater, Tom has many problems. His car is taken over by seals. His fish juice spray attracts sharks! Finally, he crashes into a big block of concrete and is crushed by an anchor. Tom is eliminated from the race.

The Final Stretch

Jerry continues racing across Australia to Borneo, where the new finish line is. But wait! Grammy and Squirty return to the race when the whale spits them out. Tom also comes back! J.W. ordered his assistant, Irving, to rescue Tom. Tom's sneaky actions were making the TV ratings amazing!

The next part of the race involves flying to Borneo using balloons. While flying, Tom tries to pop Jerry's balloons. But he accidentally pops Grammy's instead! Grammy and Squirty are eliminated from the race when they fall.

J.W. then announces the real final leg: back to Hollywood! They have to travel by super-fast jet planes. And they only have five minutes! Tom and Jerry are shocked by this sudden change. But they race anyway, zooming through famous places in Asia, Europe, the Atlantic, and the U.S. They cause lots of funny destruction along the way!

At the finish line, Tom and Jerry's jet planes break down. They cross the line at the exact same time!

The Winners and a New Boss

Because of the tie, both Tom and Jerry win! But J.W. tries to trick them. He says their contract means they have to race all over again to break the tie. Tom and Jerry are furious! They attack J.W., grab the mansion key from him, and walk away to their new home.

An angry J.W. then shouts that Hollywood is for family entertainment. Suddenly, a pharaoh-like President of Hollywood appears! He zaps J.W. for his bad attitude. Irving becomes the new head of Globwobbler Studios.

In the end, Tom and Jerry are peacefully sharing their new mansion. But then, Tom's owner shows up! She acts like she owns the mansion and tells Tom to get rid of Jerry. Looks like their adventures are far from over!
