On Thursday, June 1, 2023, a special event took place in Amman, Jordan. Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah married Rajwa Al Saif at Zahran Palace.
Crown Prince Hussein is the oldest son of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. He is next in line to become king of Jordan. Rajwa Al Saif is the youngest daughter of Khaled Al Saif, a businessman from Saudi Arabia.

Engagement
The Royal Hashemite Court announced the engagement on August 17, 2022. This announcement was made on Twitter. The engagement ceremony happened at Rajwa's father's home in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Many members of the Jordanian royal family attended. This included King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. Rajwa wore a special embroidered dress for the ceremony. She also wore a bronze belt and diamond earrings that Queen Rania lent her.
Crown Prince Hussein gave Rajwa a beautiful pear-shaped diamond ring from Harry Winston. Queen Rania shared her happiness on Instagram. She wrote that she felt so much joy for her son and his future wife.
On December 31, 2022, the Royal Hashemite Court shared the wedding date: June 1, 2023. They later said the wedding would be at Zahran Palace. An official logo for the wedding was also released. It showed Arabic words meaning "we rejoice."
Pre-wedding celebrations
Before the wedding, there were several celebrations. On May 22, 2023, Queen Rania hosted a traditional Henna party for Rajwa. This party took place at Madareb Bani Hashem. Only female family members attended. Rajwa wore a custom-made dress by a Saudi designer.
Traditional Jordanian and Saudi songs were performed. Various musical groups and dance companies also entertained the guests. Queen Rania gave a speech at the dinner that followed. She praised her future daughter-in-law.
On May 31, 2023, Crown Prince Hussein's cousin hosted a party for the groom. Male relatives and friends attended this event. That same evening, King Abdullah II hosted a large dinner. This banquet was also held at Madareb Bani Hashem to honor the wedding.
Wedding
The wedding ceremony began at 4:00 PM local time on Thursday, June 1, 2023. It took place at Zahran Palace.
After her marriage, Rajwa Al Saif received a new title. She is now known as "Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein." The newly married couple then rode in a procession through the streets. They waved to people who came out to celebrate.
The procession ended at Al Husseiniya Palace. Here, a grand state banquet was held. About 1,700 guests attended this special dinner.
For her wedding day, Rajwa wore a dress by Elie Saab. It had a unique neckline and a long, removable train. She also wore diamond earrings and a tiara with her veil. For the evening banquet, she wore the same tiara and earrings. She changed into a white ballgown with short sleeves and long gloves.

Many important people attended the royal wedding. These included family members, kings, queens, and leaders from around the world.
Relatives of the groom
The groom's parents, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, were there. His siblings, Princess Iman bint Abdullah, Princess Salma bint Abdullah, and Prince Hashem bin Abdullah, also attended. The groom's paternal grandmother, Princess Muna Al Hussein, was present. Many other aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Jordanian royal family came to celebrate.

The bride's parents, Khaled Al Saif and Azza Al Sudairi, were there. Her brothers, Faisal and Nayef Al Saif, and her sister, Dana Al Saif, also attended.
