Trophies

The World Music Awards was a big international music award show. It started in 1989 and was supported by Albert II, Prince of Monaco. The main events usually took place in Monte Carlo. These awards celebrated the world's most popular music artists. They honored artists who sold the most music in different categories and from various countries.

Many famous musicians won these awards. Some past winners include Madonna, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Adele, Jennifer Lopez, and Beyoncé. The awards themselves were gold-plated statues. Each one showed an artist holding up the world. The last World Music Awards event was held in 2014.

Helping Others Around the World

The World Music Awards did more than just celebrate music. With each award show, they helped build important places. They built hospitals, schools, or homes for children in need. They did this through groups like the Monaco Aide et Presence Foundation. These groups helped people in poorer areas of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and South America.
