43 was a year in the 1st century. It was a normal year that started on a Tuesday, according to the Julian calendar (an old way of keeping track of dates). Back then, people knew it as the Year of the Consulship of Caesar and Vitellius. A consulship was like a year named after the two most important leaders in ancient Rome.
