Roman Empire: New Lands and Projects
In the year 42, the powerful Roman Empire continued to expand and build.
- The Romans took control of a city called Ceuta, which is in North Africa.
- Areas that we now call Algeria and Morocco became a new Roman province. A province is like a large region or state controlled by the empire.
- There was a small rebellion in a Roman area called Dalmatia. A leader named Furius Camillus Scribonianus tried to revolt, but his soldiers didn't support him, so the rebellion ended very quickly.
- Claudius, who was the Roman Emperor, started building a big port in a city called Ostia. A port is a place where ships can dock to load and unload goods. This new port helped Rome get more supplies.

- In the Korean peninsula, a new kingdom was formed called Geumgwan Gaya. Suro became its very first king.
- In China, a general named My Yuan stopped a rebellion led by two brave sisters, the Trung sisters, in a region called Tonkin.
