The year 41 (written as XLI in Roman numerals) was part of the 1st century. It was a regular year that started on a Sunday, according to the Julian calendar system used back then. People in the Roman Empire knew it as the "Year of the Consulship of Augustus and Saturninus". This means that Augustus and Saturninus were the main leaders, called consuls, during that year.
