38 was a year in the 1st century. It was a regular year that started on a Wednesday, according to the Julian calendar used by the Romans. Back then, people knew it as the Year of the Consulship of Iulianus and Asprenas. This meant that Iulianus and Asprenas were the two most important Roman leaders, called consuls, during that year.
