Arash Labbaf (born on April 23, 1977) is a famous singer, entertainer, and music producer. He is from both Sweden and Iran.
Arash represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. He sang the song "Always" with Aysel. They finished in third place, which was a great achievement! He is also a judge on Persia's Got Talent, which is a show similar to Got Talent in other countries.

Arash's Early Life
Arash Labbaf was born in Tehran, Iran. He lived with his family near a park called Mellat Park. When he was ten years old, his family moved to Sweden. He still lives in Sweden today.
Arash has shared that his parents come from different cities in Iran. His mother is from Shiraz, and his father is from Isfahan. Arash has always loved singing. He even started a small band with his friends when he was younger. He also enjoys soccer and has even released songs about it!
His Music Career
Arash loves his home country, Iran, and its culture very much. This is why he chooses to sing in his native language, Persian. He feels a strong connection to his roots.
First Album and Big Hits
Arash released his first album, called Arash, in June 2005. This happened after he finished college. Two of his songs, "Boro Boro" ("Go Away") and "Temptation", became very popular. "Temptation" featured another singer named Rebecca.
The music videos for these songs were played a lot on MTV channels around the world. His songs became hits not only in Sweden and Iran but also in many other countries. These include places in Eastern Europe, like Russia and Ukraine, and in Asia, like Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
International Success
Arash's music has been very successful. His album Arash was certified gold in five different countries. These countries were Germany, Russia, Slovenia, and Greece. His song "Boro Boro" also went gold in Sweden.
The song "Boro Boro" was even used in a Hindi Bollywood movie called Bluffmaster!. Arash was also chosen as the "Artist of the Month" on MTV India.
The music video for his song "Pure Love" featured a beauty queen from Venezuela, Marianne Puglia. The singer Helena sang on the track, but she did not appear in the video.
Arash also helped create a song for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. This song was called "Allt jag vill ha" and was sung by Josefine Ridell for Sweden.
Eurovision Song Contest
In 2009, Arash was chosen to represent Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest. He wrote and composed the song "Always". He performed it as a duet with Aysel Teymurzadeh.
They sang in Semifinal 2 of the competition and made it to the final. The final took place on May 16, 2009. Arash and Aysel finished in third place, which was a fantastic result! Arash explained that he chose to represent Azerbaijan because his family has Azeri roots. He wanted to help the country do well in Eurovision.
Personal Life
Arash married his longtime girlfriend, Behnaz Ansari, in May 2011. Their wedding took place in Dubai.
