Catarsis and Tours

Belinda announced that she would spend 2011 and 2012 writing and recording her new album. On June 5, 2012, "En El Amor Hay Que Perdonar" was confirmed as the first song from the album. It was released digitally on June 19, 2012. On July 21, five new songs from the album were leaked online. These included "I Love You (Te Quiero)" featuring Pitbull.

"En El Amor Hay Que Perdonar" started at number seven on the Mexican Singles Chart and then reached number one for one week. Another song, "Te Voy A Esperar" (featuring Juan Magán), was for the movie Las aventuras de Tadeo Jones. It was released digitally in Spain, where it was number one for ten weeks. It received a Platinum certification for selling over 60,000 copies. This song was also added as a bonus track on the Latin American versions of the album. In Mexico, "Te Voy A Esperar" was only played on the radio and reached number seven. Catarsis was first planned for release on September 25, 2012, but it was delayed and finally released on July 2, 2013.

"En la Obscuridad" was released as the second single. It started at No. 37 on the Mexican Singles Chart and reached number 10 in March 2013. This song also became popular internationally, reaching No. 39 in Spain and No. 65 in South Korea. In just two days, its music video broke a Latin music record on VEVO, with more than 3 million views.

Belinda started her Catarsis Tour in August 2013. This tour had a much bigger production than her previous ones. It lasted almost three years, ending in mid-2016. During the tour, she visited many festivals across Latin America. The tour also had different "phases" with changes to the stage, backgrounds, and costumes. One notable phase was the "Kastle Ghost Koncept," which featured a castle on stage and appearances by famous singers. Later that year, Belinda worked with Mexican Rock Band Motel on their song "Sueño de Ti." This song was released as the second single from their album Prisma.

On April 27, 2017, she confirmed the first song from her fifth album would be "Bailalo." However, on February 27, 2020, the music video and audio of the song were leaked online. It became a trending topic for her fans, but the song has not yet been released on digital platforms. Belinda continued working on her fifth album. She had to postpone filming two music videos in Spain because of the Coronavirus disease, which caused flight cancellations.
