As part of BTS, Jimin released three popular solo songs: "Lie," "Serendipity," and "Filter."
- "Lie" (2016) was part of the album Wings. It was known for its dramatic and emotional sound.
- "Serendipity" (2017) was from the album Love Yourself: Her. This song was soft and sweet, talking about the joy of love.
- "Filter" (2020) was on the album Map of the Soul: 7. It had a Latin pop feel and showed different sides of Jimin's personality.
Jimin also helped write and produce the song "Friends" on the Map of the Soul: 7 album. This song was later used in the Marvel Studios movie Eternals.
His solo songs have been very successful. "Serendipity" and "Lie" both had over 50 million streams on Spotify. Jimin was the first Korean artist to have three solo songs reach this many streams. These songs were also among the most streamed BTS songs in the United Kingdom. In 2019, "Serendipity" became the first solo music video by a BTS member to reach 100 million views on YouTube.
In 2018, Jimin and his bandmates received the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea. This award recognized their efforts in promoting Korean culture worldwide.
