A.R.T. has gone a bit crazy and wants to completely change Earth!
With help from their Uncle Eli and their dog Roswell, Zack and Jess must stop A.R.T. and his robot army. A.R.T. is a bit like HAL 9000 from the famous movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Meet the Characters
You'll meet several interesting characters as you play JumpStart Adventures 6th Grade.
Zack
Zack is one of the main characters. He has blond hair. Zack is a good guy, but he can be a little bit rude sometimes. He has also appeared in other JumpStart games, like JumpStart SpyMasters: Unmask the Prankster. In those games, he seems less rude than he does in this one.
Jess
Jess is Zack's twin sister and also a main character. She has short, red hair. Jess is usually more polite than Zack. Like her brother, she has been in games such as JumpStart SpyMasters: Unmask the Prankster.
Uncle Eli
Uncle Eli is a very smart character with gray hair. He wears glasses and a green shirt. He helps Zack and Jess in many ways to complete their important missions.
Roswell
Roswell is a blue dog who helps the team. He is important for catching A.R.T.'s robots. Once caught, the robots are taken to the Robot Re-Organizer.
Enos
Enos is a brown monkey. At the start of the game, Enos was sent into space on a rocket with A.R.T. A.R.T. then decided to use robots to change Earth. Enos got scared and pressed an S.O.S. button. This sent a message to Earthquest, starting the whole adventure!
A.R.T.
A.R.T. is the main bad guy in the game. He is a computer with artificial intelligence. A.R.T. wants to redesign Earth using his army of robots. Zack and Jess must stop his evil plans!
How to Play the Game
To save the world, you need to go on missions. You pick a mission from the Mission Locator Map. For each mission, you choose either Zack or Jess as your partner. There are six different types of games to play. When you finish a game, you capture one of A.R.T.'s robots. These robots are then taken to the Robot Re-Organizer. The game ends when all the robots are captured and reorganized. You can keep playing games even after you finish the main story.
Hyper Space Missions
When you start a mission, your chosen character takes off in a special pod. Uncle Eli tells you that these pods are super safe. To land the pod, you must find its secret landing code. This game is similar to a music game in JumpStart 3rd Grade. But instead of letters, you pick the correct word or phrase from three choices.
Pollution Solution
A.R.T.'s robots are messing with a factory. You need to stop harmful poisons from getting into the environment. A math problem appears on the screen, and you must pick the right answer. You need to do this before a barrel overflows! Watch out for toxic puddles and tox-o-bots. You can play this game in Alaska, Ukraine, and Indonesia.
Mine Games
A.R.T. is placing mines in the ocean. You have to turn off the bomb by answering a question. The question might be about English language or Geography. Be careful to avoid the shark bots! You can also find supplies to get more energy for your pod. This game can be played in the Great Barrier Reef, the Bering Sea, and the Caribbean Sea.
Viral Vanguard
A.R.T. is using Viro-Bots to harm endangered animals. Your pod shrinks down to the size of a cell! You drive your cell pod through an animal, avoiding the Viro-Bots. A science question appears, and you must pick the right answer to keep going. At the end, you make the Viro-Bots disappear and return to EarthQuest. The animal you travel through changes depending on where you play. It could be a tiger in India, a wombat in Australia, or a condor in California.
Insect Overthrow
A.R.T. is putting locks on trees to stop them from growing. You move your pod around the tree rings. A math problem shows up, and you drag the answer to the center. Watch out for nasty bugs and sticky sap! You can also find coal supplies for more energy. This game is played in Germany, Japan, and Appalachia.
Canopy Crusade
One of A.R.T.'s robots, which looks like a bulldozer, is destroying the rainforest. A science question will appear. You fly your helicopter pod and pick the bag with the correct answer. Then, you drop it where the bulldozer is working. After answering five questions, you play a game of tic-tac-toe. You can play this game in Gabon, Guyana, and Hawaii.
Monument Mischief
A.R.T.'s robots are now destroying famous landmarks around the world. You move your pogo-pod around the monument. On the left, there's a passage about ancient history with missing words. When your pogo-pod lands on a brick, it lights up with a color. This color matches a blank in the passage, and a word appears. If you think it's the right word, you select it. When all the blanks are filled, you return your pogo-pod to the top. Be sure to avoid the scorpion-bots! You can also find coal for extra energy. The monument changes depending on the country. You can play in Egypt, Greece, and China.
Robot Re-Organizer
After you capture one of A.R.T.'s robots, it goes to the Robot Re-Organizer. To understand the robot's information, you need to match the first and second parts of idioms. For each match, you get a special coordinate.
Space Scan
Next, you plot the coordinate points from the Robot Re-Organizer onto a grid. These points show where A.R.T. was when he last sent a message. Once you plot all four points, the area is scanned to find A.R.T. You won't find him until you've captured the very last robot.
The End of the Adventure
Once all the robots are captured and scanned, A.R.T. is finally found in space. The team travels to his location. The game ends with A.R.T. being used for bowling!
