Junius is a small town in Seneca County, New York. In 2020, about 1,370 people lived here. It is located in the northwest part of the county. The town is found just east of Geneva.
Junius does not have its own post office. Most of the town uses the ZIP Code 14433, which belongs to Clyde. Other parts of Junius use ZIP codes for Waterloo, Lyons, or Phelps. The main government offices for the town are in a place called Dublin.

The History of Junius
Junius was once part of a special area called the Central New York Military Tract. This land was used to pay soldiers who fought in the American Revolution. People first started settling here around 1795.
How Junius Became a Town
The town of Junius was officially created in 1803. It was formed from a larger area that was part of the Town of Fayette. Over time, Junius was divided into several new towns. These included Wolcott and Galen (both in Wayne County), and Seneca Falls, Tyre, and Waterloo (all in Seneca County).

The western edge of Junius borders Ontario County. The northern edge of the town borders Wayne County.
Roads and Highways
The New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) runs right through the town of Junius. This is a major highway in New York. New York State Route 318 is another important road that goes from east to west, running next to the Thruway. New York State Route 414 is a north-south road that crosses a small part of Junius in the northeast.

- Malcom – This is a location on New York State Route 414, in the northeast part of the town.
- Stone Church Corner – Another hamlet located on New York State Route 318.
- Thompson – This hamlet is on the western border of the town, in the northwest part of Junius. It's located on County Road 109.
- West Junius is a hamlet that is not actually in the Town of Junius. It is just west of the town's border, in Ontario County.
