The Story of Kawaii Kon
Kawaii Kon was started by a company called Gamers Evolution Expo, LLC. The main person behind it was Stan Dahlin, who grew up in Hawaii. He wanted to bring an anime convention to his home state because he loved anime so much!
Kawaii Kon was the very first anime convention ever held in Hawaii. When it first started in 2005, so many fans showed up that it surprised everyone! People in Hawaii really wanted an event like this.
Sadly, Kawaii Kon 2020 had to be canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was first moved to a later date, but then it couldn't happen at all.
