The Story of Monginis
Long ago, in the early 1900s, two brothers from Italy started a food service in Mumbai, India. Many people, especially Europeans living there, loved their food.
Then, in 1958, a family called the Khorakiwalas took over the business. They named it Monginis Foods Private Limited.
In 1971, Monginis started using a "franchise" idea. This means other people could open Monginis shops using the company's name and recipes. This helped Monginis grow very quickly. They focused on making food that tasted good to local people. They also wanted their shops to feel like special "food boutiques" with high-quality products and great customer service. By 2012, the company was worth about 950 million Indian rupees!
